HoopLab ("we", "our", or "us") is a coach-first youth basketball team management app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to run team management features:

Account information: email address and display name when you create an account.
Team and roster data: player names, jersey numbers, age bands, and parent/guardian contact information entered by coaches.
Game and event data: schedules, RSVPs, game scores, and in-game statistics logged by coaches.
Messages: direct messages and group chat content sent within the app, visible only to intended recipients and team coaches.

2. Children's Privacy

HoopLab is designed for use by coaches and parents. Players under 13 years old do not create accounts — they are represented on the roster by a coach and managed by a linked parent or guardian account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child's information has been submitted without parental consent, contact us at the address below and we will remove it promptly.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide team management, scheduling, and communication features.
To link parent accounts to player roster spots and enforce supervision rules.
To display game statistics and season summaries to coaches and linked family members.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), which provides encrypted storage and row-level security so each user can only access data belonging to their own teams. Data is stored in the United States.

5. Data Retention

Your account and team data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app. Continued use of HoopLab after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
